We offer labs and blood draws in the clinic as a convenience for our patients. We do not get paid to draw blood, transport the specimen to the lab or perform the tests. We send all tests to Quest diagnostics. We have no financial arrangement with Quest or any other lab and you are
always allowed to get the testing done at any lab of your choice
 
However, we will not be responsible for any charges or bills that the lab sends you. We will not call the lab or your insurance company if you receive any bills from the lab. If the lab sends you any bills, we will not be able to help you in any way. It will be your responsibility to either pay the bill or sort it out with the lab and your insurance company.
 
We encourage you to reach out to your insurance company prior to the testing regarding what tests are covered as part of your annual health exam and what your out of pocket costs may be.
You should also ask your insurance company  if they want us to use any specific diagnosis codes for an annual exam or routine physical etc. and we will try to use the codes if appropriate for the reason of your visit

 
If you don't want us to do the blood draw, we offer the option of sending your order directly to Quest and you can schedule an appointment there and get the tests done. We can also give you a physical lab order that you can take to any lab of your choice for the testing
 
If you have any questions about the policy, please ask us before the blood is drawn. We will not be able to help once the samples are sent to the lab

Imaging policy

If your condition requires an imaging test such as X-ray, CT scan, MRI or ultrasound, we can facilitate by sending the order to any local imaging center of your choice. It is your responsibility to find out from the imaging center and your insurance company what your out of pocket costs will be for any imaging. If you recieve a bill from the imaging center after the test is done, it will be solely your responsibility to pay the bill or negotiate with the imaging center and your insurance company. We will not call the imaging center or the insurance company on your behalf
